The Unemployment Services division provides financial assistance and employment services to jobless workers. The Veteran Services DVOP and LVER staff develops increased hiring opportunities within the local work force by raising the awareness of employers of the availability and the benefit of hiring veterans.

Arkansas Workforce Centers provide locally developed and operated services linking employers and jobseekers through a statewide delivery system. The Centers integrate multiple workforce development programs into a single system, making the resources much more accessible and user friendly to jobseekers as well as expanding services to employers. And, through the education and skills training offered to jobseekers, employers are reducing hidden costs associated with lost production time and turnover rates by hiring qualified workers.

Products and services can be categorized into three main groups: Unemployment Insurance, Employment Assistance Jobseeker services and Employer services , and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. ADWS continues to build effective partnerships with other organizations to better serve customers. Because the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services is a state agency, it does not earn a profit and does not measure success by business growth and expansion. The agency is unique from other Arkansas state agencies in that it is 99 percent federally funded with taxpayer dollars.
